Our current Republican leadership is selling us out and ripping us off. I’m running to represent people, not huge corporations. It’s time to fight back.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, operates one of the largest detention centers in California right here in Adelanto. Stevevonna was proud to be the only NO vote on the City Council on expanding the ICE detention center, and as Mayor will seek to use every legal pathway to close the detention center with the City of Adelanto.
Adelanto residents pay on average 148% more for electricity than the average American, and energy bills went up by as much as 25% in just the past year. Recently, the city of Adelanto implemented a "convenience fee" of 3.65% on all water bills, a fee the city used to cover. As Mayor, Stevevonna will have the City cover the 3.65% fee for water bills, and will invest in cheap city-owned solar energy.
AI companies are buidling data centers across the High Desert. These data centers use precious resources like water and electricity, causing bills for working people to go up. Stevevonna supports a moratorium on all data center construction in Adelanto, until we can guarantee benefits to the community from these data centers.
Too many of Adelanto's young people leave for work elsewhere, causing brain drain in our city. We need more jobs, entrepreneurship opportunities, and small business support. As Mayor, Stevevonna will invest in jobs programs and small business support so our city can thrive.
Large corporations and wealthy investors try to buy politicians with campaign funds, seeking to influence their decisions. Stevevonna is proud to stand with the people, not the rich, and will never accept corporate money or donations from billionaires.
Stevevonna's full 137-page plan to invest in Adelanto and deliver change.
Let’s make sure opportunity comes with it. The Adelanto Opportunity Agenda is a governing framework built around a simple question:
What does Adelanto’s growth create for Adelanto’s people?
Every person deserves dignity. Every conversation deserves civility. Civility doesn't mean silence. We can be firm without being cruel.
Every young adult deserves a pathway to opportunity. Careers, trades, apprenticeships, higher education, entrepreneurship, certifications, leadership, financial capability and pathways toward homeownership. Workforce development shouldn't begin at the ribbon cutting.
Before asking taxpayers for one more dollar, let's fight for every dollar they're already entitled to. Residents already pay taxes. Let's fight for their money before asking them for more.
A new business can create a job. But what happens next? Can that job become a career? Can increased income help someone start a business, buy a home, build an asset, create stability, and pass something to the next generation?
Opportunity should compound.
THIS ISN’T TWELVE DIFFERENT PLANS. IT’S ONE VISION.
Water determines what we can sustainably build. Infrastructure determines where we can build it. Economic development creates investment. Workforce development helps residents access opportunities. Housing creates pathways toward stability and ownership. Safe, maintained neighborhoods protect quality of life. Transparent government gives residents a voice. Fiscal stewardship helps us pay responsibly. Dignity and civility determine how we lead through all of it.

Reliable water. Responsible growth. Long-term planning. Our economic future and our water future have to be planned together.
Housing opportunity should lead toward ownership. A paycheck helps today. Ownership can change what a family passes to the next generation.
Build the foundation before we build the future. Growth above ground doesn’t work if we neglect what’s underneath it.
Respond effectively. Prevent intentionally. Public safety begins before the emergency.
Government should be understandable. Compliance is the floor. Asking questions is part of the job.
Clear rules. Fair accountability. Responsible business. Follow the rules. Pay what you owe. Treat people fairly.
Growth should reach the neighborhoods already here. Residents shouldn’t have to hear that Adelanto is progressing. They should be able to see it from their front porch.
Attract investment. Grow local business. Create opportunity here. The real question is what remains after the ribbon is gone.
Did the road get fixed? Did water reliability improve? Did the investment create careers? Did residents get hired? Did a young adult enter an apprenticeship? Did a local business receive an opportunity? Did a family become a homeowner? Did dumping decrease? Did a vacant property return to productive use? Did we bring outside dollars into Adelanto? Did residents understand and participate in the decision?
We should measure government not simply by what we did, but by what changed because we did it.
ADELANTO IS GOING TO GROW. LET'S MAKE SURE OUR PEOPLE GROW WITH IT.
There is a place for me in this future.
