Leadership Begins with Listening

You don’t have to agree with me to talk to me. You don’t have to support my campaign to have an idea worth hearing. And you shouldn’t need a political connection to have your voice matter.

We’re listening.

Official Short Bio

Stevevonna Evans is an Adelanto City Councilwoman, community advocate, nonprofit founder, small-business owner, and candidate for Mayor of Adelanto. First elected to the Adelanto City Council in 2018, Evans became the first Black woman elected to the Adelanto City Council and the first Black woman elected to a city council in the High Desert. Her public service has focused on water justice, housing, government accountability, public safety, economic opportunity, and ensuring residents have a meaningful voice in decisions affecting their community. Her 2026 campaign for Mayor is built around People Over Politics and the Adelanto Opportunity Agenda.

In Stevevonna’s Words

“This campaign isn’t built on politics. It’s built on people. I believe every person deserves dignity, every conversation deserves civility, every young adult deserves opportunity, and every taxpayer deserves a City that fights for every available dollar before asking them for one more.”
